PROGRAMMING NOTES
This version is based on the Original 2007 Broadway Production.
This show is designed to be stick conducted at the podium. The orchestration calls for 2 keyboards both of which are heavily programmed.
Keyboard 1 is the primary piano book but most of the time, the programming calls for other instruments to augment the live musicians. These sounds include Strings, Harp, Accordion, Organ, Orchestral Woodwinds and Brass, Mallet Percussion, and even a Theremin patch which is everyone’s favorite. This is a challenging book and will require a strong player to navigate the book and the over 160 patch changes in the programming.
Keyboard 2 has approximately 60 different patches and a whopping 430 patch changes. Navigating this book is not for the faint-hearted and will require someone with experience playing heavily programmed shows. Some of the patches in this book are Strings, Brass, Organ, Mallet Percussion, Harp, Celeste, Synth Pads, and more Theremin.

SHOW DESCRIPTION
From the creators of the record-breaking Broadway sensation, The Producers, comes this monster new musical comedy. The comedy genius, Mel Brooks, adapts his legendarily funny film into a brilliant stage creation – Young Frankenstein!
Grandson of the infamous Victor Frankenstein, Frederick Frankenstein (pronounced “Fronk-en-steen”) inherits his family’s estate in Transylvania. With the help of a hunchbacked sidekick, Igor (pronounced “Eye-gore”), and a leggy lab assistant, Inga (pronounced normally), Frederick finds himself in the mad scientist shoes of his ancestors. “It’s alive!” he exclaims as he brings to life a creature to rival his grandfather’s. Eventually, of course, the monster escapes and hilarity continuously abounds.
