25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee
Six awkward spelling champions learn that winning (and losing) isn’t everything.
This orchestration is based on the Original 2005 Broadway Production.
This show is orchestrated to be player-conducted from the Piano book. There are two keyboards in this show but only the Synth book has any programming. KeyboardTEK has meticulously recreated the Broadway programming using the exact hardware that was used in the original production in conjunction with the original orchestrator. These sounds are the exact sounds heard on the Broadway Cast Recording.
The synth book is heavily programmed and requires an advanced player who can navigate the part and all of the patch changes. Many of the patches in this book are synth based sounds such as pads, EP’s, polysynths, accordion, organ, harpsichord, harmonica, and Vox pads to name just a few but all are very specific and integral to the sound of this show. There are lots of fast patch changes as well as complex mappings and triggers which KeyboardTEK has programmed. This book also covers the Bass lines since there is no bass in the orchestration so the left hand in this book covers that sound.
This is a very rewarding book to play but will require lots of preparation with the programming to feel comfortable.
