Licensing Company: MTI
This delightful and award-winning adaptation of one of the world’s most beloved fables is a heartwarming celebration of what makes us special.
This licensed orchestration is based on the North Shore Music Theatre Production from 2000.
This show is orchestrated to be player conducted from the P/C keyboard book. It is the only keyboard in the orchestration. This book requires an excellent player who can navigate the part and the programming while also leading the band.
The P/C book is the primary piano book but also contains quite a bit of programming and patches. There are over 50 unique sounds and instruments aside from the various acoustic pianos and over 150 patch changes. Some of these sounds include strings, brass, woodwinds, mallet percussion, harp, organ, EP’s, accordion, and a few synth pads to layer with the acoustic sounds. It is a lovely show and a fun book to play.

Ugly looks quite a bit different from his darling duckling brothers and sisters. The other animals on the farm are quick to notice and point this out, despite his mother’s protective flapping. Feeling rather foul about himself, the little fowl finds himself on an adventure of self-discovery, all the while unknowingly outwitting a very hungry Cat. Along the way, Ugly meets a whole flock of unique characters and finds out that being different is not a bad thing to be.
