Licensing Company: Concord Theatricals
Adapted from Alison Bechdel’s groundbreaking graphic novel, Fun Home is a refreshingly honest, wholly original musical about seeing your parents through grown-up eyes.
This licensed version is based on the Original 2015 Broadway Production at Circle in the Square Theatre.
There is just a single Piano/Keyboard book in this show and it is sparsely programmed. It only has 16 total patches with most of the show being Piano but there are are some loops that are pretty essential in Welcome To Our House and there are instances of wurly, rhodes, vibes, and harpsichord. KeyboardTEK is offering the MainStage programming for only $100 for this book. This is the actual programming from the Broadway production available for licensing so the sounds will match the cast recording exactly. This book does require an advanced player who can navigate the part while leading the band.

When her father dies unexpectedly, graphic novelist Alison dives deep into her past to tell the story of the volatile, brilliant, one-of-a-kind man whose temperament and secrets defined her family and her life. Moving between past and present, Alison relives her unique childhood playing at the family’s Bechdel Funeral Home, her growing understanding of her own sexuality, and the looming, unanswerable questions about her father’s hidden desires. Fun Home is a refreshingly honest, wholly original musical about seeing your parents through grown-up eyes.
