PROGRAMMING NOTES
This licensed orchestration is based on the 2012 UK Tour.
There are 2 keyboards in this jukebox Disco Musical featuring music from the 70’s.
This show was designed to be stick conducted but can be conducted from the piano by playing out of the Piano/Vocal score however, the patch names or changes are not indicated in the PV so you would need to write them in if the conductor is also playing the book.
Keyboard 1 is primarily piano and EP’s and there are not a lot of patch changes. All of the sounds in both books are GM (General MIDI sounds) so if you have a keyboard capable of those sounds, you could program this book on your own but KeyboardTEK has resampled the sounds from the original sources to make this one less thing your keyboardists have to do.
Keyboard 2 plays a variety of instruments and sounds from Synth based leads to organs, Brass, Strings, and Sax. This book does require an advanced player.
SHOW DESCRIPTION
If you love the 1970s, then you’ll love this riotous trip back to the decade that brought us flared trousers, platform shoes and glitter. In Disco Inferno, the story of Faust is brought to life in an explosion of hit songs, high-energy dance routines and glitter ball-spinning action.
Three words that describe this stylized musical would be “Faust with Flare.” Grabbing that jive-old story and injecting it with groove, Disco Inferno is chock-full of the songs that defined a generation. Jack is an aspiring musician who wants nothing more than to be famous, so signing away this thing called a soul is a small price to pay. But Jack soon finds out that all that glitters isn’t gold on the other side, especially if you’re all out of love.
