Earthquakes, tidal waves, infernos and the unforgettable songs of the ’70s take center stage in Broadway’s side-splitting homage to classic disaster films.
This version is based on the Original 2016 Broadway Production.
There are few shows more fun to play than this. Disaster utilizes two keyboard players with the Conductor playing from the Keyboard 1 book. Neither book is terribly difficult to play as long as your players are comfortable with pop/rock/disco grooves and are familiar with the songs. Keyboard 1 has just a handful of patch changes and sounds. There are a fair amount of patch changes in Keyboard 2 but both are easy to navigate with our programming.
Keyboard 1 is primarily Piano and EP’s. Keyboard 2 has a bulk of the sounds to augment the band. Most of them are synth based sounds from the 70’s as well as Disco Strings, Strings, and Organ.
