PROGRAMMING NOTES
This licensed orchestration is based on the Original 2012 Broadway Production.
This show is orchestrated to be stick conducted from the podium and has 2 separate keyboard books, both with some programming.
Keyboard 1 is primarily piano but does a few instances of celeste and Bar room tack piano. If your keyboardist has a keyboard with these two instrument sounds, there is no need to rent the Keyboard 1 programming. This is a very difficult book in spots and will require an advance player who can play the typical musical theater style.
Keyboard 2 has much more programming than Keyboard 1 and really augments the live players by adding additional instruments, sounds, and harmonies. Some of these include spiky flutes, celeste, Fender Rhodes, horns, orchestral woodwinds, clavinet, synth bass, crystal synth voices, synth elements, mallet percussion, and the hoedown banjo to name a few. This book is not as technically challenging as Keyboard 1 but it would be recommended to have an advanced player on this book who can navigate the part and the programming.

SHOW DESCRIPTION
This classic holiday musical centers on a mischievous, bespectacled boy, Ralphie, who dreams of getting a BB-gun for Christmas. In the weeks before the big holiday, Ralphie, his friends and his family get into all kinds of situations — including run-ins with a bully with “yellow eyes,” a tongue stuck to a flag pole, a bar of soap in the mouth, a garish leg lamp, a major award and a Chinese Christmas dinner.
