A Christmas Carol (Broadway Version)
Ebeneezer Scrooge and his ghostly encounters come to life in this lavish and thrilling Broadway adaptation.
This licensed orchestration is based on the Original 1994 Madison Square Garden production. The show was presented annually at New York City’s Paramount Theatre in Madison Square Garden from 1994 to 2003.
This show is orchestrated to be stick conducted from the podium and has 2 separate keyboard books. Both books are typeset beautifully and are very easy to read.
Keyboard 1 is the primary piano book but it does have a good bit of programming that is required. Those patches include vibes, strings, toy piano, various electric pianos, synth elements, harmonium, organ, clav, harpsichord and to name just a few. This book is difficult in spots and will require a proficient player to be able to navigate the part and the programming.
Keyboard 2 is mostly orchestral padding and some of the instruments and patches in this part include harpsichord, organ, strings, celeste, music box, EP’s, clavinet, and even a calliope and a hurdy gurdy among others. Although not as difficult as key 1, it is recommended to have an advanced musical theater player on this book who has experience playing shows with programming.
