PROGRAMMING NOTES
This licensed orchestration is based on the Original 2015 Broadway Production.
This show is orchestrated to be conducted from the Piano/Conductor chair. There are two keyboard books in this show and only the Keyboard book has any programming.
The Piano/Conductor book is the primary piano book but also has lots of accordion in it that is meant to be played live. If your MD/Conductor does not play accordion, you can use a keyboard patch to play those parts. Although not included in the standard programming package, if you would like a Mainstage file for the accordion in this book, please contact us and we can provide that for you. You will need an advanced player on this chair who is comfortable playing folk and folk-rock stylings while leading the band.
Keyboard 2 has all of the programming for this show. In addition to the keyboard part and the various patches, the book is also written with accordion and autoharp that is supposed to be played live. We have included those sounds as patches in the programming in the event your production does not have that capability.
