Beauty and the Beast (Alternate 11pc)
$300.00 – $650.00
“Be Our Guest!” The Academy Award-winning film comes to life in this romantic and beloved take on the classic fairytale.
This licensed orchestration is a reduction based on the Original 1994 Broadway production although the currently licensed version has been recently re-orchestrated by Disney as of 2021 and they have removed “Maison de Lunes”, “The Battle”, and made “No Matter What” optional. If you are using the older 2 keyboard version which at the time was the “Standard Orchestration”, please let us know that in the notes so we can ensure you receive the correct programming that matches your version.
This show was orchestrated to be stick conducted from the podium. There are 2 keyboard books for this 11 piece version of the show both of which have programming and patches.
Keyboard 1 requires an advanced player who is familiar with the show. There are only a handful of patches in this book and those consist of Piano, Strings with various articulations, celeste, harp, and harpsichord with multiple registrations. Most modern day synthesizers should have these sounds on board if you want to forego MainStage for this chair but we are more than happy to offer our programming if you would prefer everything already done to match the new book.
The K2/Synth Book is primarily a string reduction book. Most of the sounds in this programming serve as orchestral padding to the live musicians. The patches in Keyboard 2 consist mostly of strings in various articulations as well as, woodwinds, church organ, harpsichord, mallet percussion, and various accordions. This book is challenging and will also require a talented player who can navigate the part and the programming.

Step into the enchanted world of Broadway’s modern classic, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, an international sensation that played a remarkable 13-year run on Broadway and has been produced in 37 countries worldwide. Based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature, the stage version includes all of the wonderful songs written by Alan Menken and the late Howard Ashman, along with new songs by Mr. Menken and Tim Rice. The original Broadway production ran for over thirteen years and was nominated for nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical.
The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed into his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.
